I’m Cristiano Ceppi. I’m an environmental hiking guide enrolled to the AIGAE (Environmental Hiking Guides Italian Association).

I live in Montefalco with my wife Elisabetta and my daughter Elena. I was 6 month old when my family decided to move from Ancona to Foligno, in the marvelous Umbria. In Foligno i studied till the secondary school while playing all sort of sports: basketball, soccer, volleyball, handball, mountain bike and athletics (the last one at competitive level with fairly good results). Then i studied as an agronomist at Perugia’s University when i definitively fell in love with Mother Nature admiring the strength, the complexity and how it works. In 2002 i had my university degree and after that i decided to make a gift to myself.

I bought a mountain bike and a pair of trekking shoes and i started to discover countrysides, villages, hills and mountains around my house in Foligno, Montefalco, Bevagna, Gualdo Cattaneo, Trevi, Assisi, Spello, Giano and Spoleto areas; in conclusion in the Valle Umbra’s hearth.

That was the breakthrough!
Wonderful landscapes, marvelous places full of history that i didn’t know existing nearby my house! Villages where it seems that time was stopped years and years ago, muleteers, footpaths and country pathway without an end through woods, wineyards and olive groves. Year by year i understood that i’m living in a sort of paradise!! And i want to share with you this paradise without hurry walking and riding mountain bikes as far as possible from traffic, chaotic mass tourism, frenzy and sounds of the modern life.
